Strong housing sales, price gains seen in 2015, reports show

Illinois ended the year with a strong showing both in terms of sales and median prices, reports released by the Illinois Association of REALTORS® show.

While closed sales for December eked out a 1 percent gain for the month statewide, there was a 5.9 percent gain for the year. Median prices ended the year up 8.1 percent, and were up a strong 7.1 percent for the month of December.
